Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 22, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains what information Softwares Academy collects when you visit softwares-academy.com, why it is used, and the choices available to you. Softwares Academy is an independent educational website about software. We do not sell software, process payments, or provide user accounts.

Information you choose to provide

If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, subject, message, and any technical details you choose to include. Please do not send passwords, activation keys, payment details, identification documents, or other sensitive information. If comments are enabled and you submit one, the information entered in the comment form and technical anti-spam data may be processed.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, standard technical information may be processed, including your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location derived from the IP address, interaction events, and the date and time of a request. Server and security logs may also record requests to protect the site from abuse and diagnose errors.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic and improve site navigation, content, and performance. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish users and sessions, depending on your consent settings and browser choices. Its default implementation can collect session statistics, approximate geolocation, and browser or device information. We do not ask Google Analytics to collect passwords, license keys, or message contents.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Where consent is legally required, a consent message may allow you to accept, reject, or manage optional cookies and advertising choices.

Advertising

The site uses Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, IP addresses, and similar technologies to deliver, limit, measure, and—where permitted by your choices—personalize ads. Ads are separate from editorial decisions and do not constitute an endorsement by Softwares Academy. Learn how Google uses information from partner sites and manage personalized advertising in My Ad Center.

How information is used

  • To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website.
  • To measure aggregate usage and content performance.
  • To respond to correction reports, broken-link reports, and support messages.
  • To prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • To display and measure advertising and meet legal or platform obligations.

Service providers and disclosure

Information may be processed by vendors that help us host, secure, analyze, and monetize the site, including Google Analytics, Google AdSense, anti-spam services, security services, and hosting infrastructure. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy notices. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users or the site, investigate abuse, or establish or defend legal claims. We do not sell contact-form submissions.

Retention and international processing

Contact messages and operational logs are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to answer requests, protect the site, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Analytics and advertising providers apply their configured retention periods and policies. Because some providers operate internationally, information may be processed outside your country with safeguards applied by the relevant provider where required.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. To make a request, use the contact page and identify the email address connected with your request. We may need to verify the request and may retain limited information where required for security or legal reasons.

Children, security, and external links

The site is intended for a general audience and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage method is completely secure. Articles may link to software publishers and other external sites; their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Policy updates and contact

We may update this page when the site, its providers, or applicable requirements change. The date above shows the latest review. For privacy questions or requests, contact the Softwares Academy editorial team through the contact form.
