Fortnite is Epic Games’ free online game. Most people know it for Battle Royale, where the last player standing wins, but the same download also includes Zero Build (no building), Reload, Fortnite OG, the rhythm game Fortnite Festival, LEGO Fortnite, and thousands of player-made islands built with Fortnite Creative and Unreal Editor for Fortnite. Epic notes that each player-made game carries its own age rating.
Official ways to get Fortnite
- Windows PC: the Epic Games Store listing, installed through the Epic Games Launcher. The store lists Windows as the platform.
- iPhone and iPad: the App Store. The US listing is published by Epic Games Sweden AB and needs iOS 17 or later.
- Android: the Google Play listing, published by Epic Games, Inc.
There is no native macOS version listed on the Epic Games Store.
Price, V-Bucks and Fortnite Crew
The base game is free. Epic sells V-Bucks and item packs, and the store lists paid add-ons. It renews until you cancel. An Epic account (Epic ID) is required to play.
Age rating

Avoiding scams
Because Fortnite is so popular, it is a common lure for fake APKs, “free V-Bucks” generators and account-selling pages. None of these come from Epic. Install only from the three stores above, never enter your Epic login on another site, and remember that cheats or modified clients break Epic’s rules and can lead to a ban.
