Hearthstone is Blizzard Entertainment’s free-to-play digital card game. Players build decks and face each other in turn-based matches. It suits players who want short strategic matches that work equally well on a PC or a phone.
Official ways to install
- Windows and macOS: the download button on hearthstone.blizzard.com installs the game through Blizzard’s Battle.net app.
- iPhone and iPad: the App Store, published by Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.
- Android: Google Play, from Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.
Hearthstone does not appear in Steam’s store search; on desktop it comes only through Battle.net.
Costs
Hearthstone is free to download and play. Both the App Store and Google Play list in-app purchases. Spending is optional, but parents may want to set up store purchase controls.
Official system requirements
| Platform | Minimum (Blizzard Support) |

On desktop, Blizzard recommends 16 GB of RAM on Windows and an Apple M1 or better on Mac. On Android, Blizzard says to install to internal storage first and only then move the app to an SD card if your device allows it.
Staying safe
Hearthstone APKs on third-party sites are unnecessary, since Google Play carries the official app. “Free pack” generators and deck-tracking tools that ask for your Battle.net password are scams. Automation and bots break Blizzard’s terms and can get the account suspended.
