Call of Duty: Warzone for Windows

Call of Duty: Warzone is what Activision calls a massive free-to-play combat arena, the battle royale side of the Call of Duty series. Steam credits a long list of Activision studios, including Infinity Ward, Raven Software, Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games. It is for adults: both the ESRB and PEGI ratings are for mature players.

Where to get Warzone on PC

• Steam: the free Warzone listing.
• callofduty.com: Activision’s official Warzone page, with news and platform information.

Steam lists an Activision account as required. The game supports cross-platform multiplayer, so PC players are matched with players on other systems.

COD Points and other purchases

Warzone is free, and the paid currency is COD Points. Steam lists packs from 200 CP for $1.99 up to 10,000 CP (plus 3,000 bonus) for $99.99. The ESRB rating notes in-game purchases and user interaction. Nothing you buy is required to play.

Age rating

Steam shows ESRB M (Mature 17+) for intense violence, blood and gore, strong language and use of drugs, and PEGI 18 for violence, bad language and in-game purchases. Steam applies an age check before showing the store page.

Minimum PC requirements (Steam)

At 125 GB, Warzone is one of the larger free downloads on PC, so check storage first. Steam also lists full controller support and captions, plus single-player and online co-op content alongside PvP.

Cheats and account safety

Warzone is heavily targeted by cheat sellers. Using cheats or unauthorised software breaks Activision’s rules and can get the account banned, and cheat downloads themselves often carry malware. Never install “unlock tools” or give your Activision login to third parties.
