THE FINALS is a free-to-play first-person shooter from Embark Studios. Matches are framed as a televised game show of the future: teams fight for fans and money in virtual arenas that can be almost completely destroyed, so buildings, walls and floors change during every round. Embark calls it a “Dynamism Shooter”. It suits players who like fast team shooters with a lot of improvisation.

On PC, THE FINALS is free on Steam, and the official site at reachthefinals.com has news and links. Steam lists Windows as the only PC platform. The game uses an Embark ID account, which Steam says supports linking to your Steam account.
Cost
Playing is free. Steam lists in-app purchases and a number of paid DLC items. There is also an optional “Year 1 Deluxe Edition” that Steam lists at $39.99; you do not need it to play.
Cross-play and modes
Steam lists online PvP, online co-op and cross-platform multiplayer, along with full controller support including DualShock and DualSense controllers.

The Steam listing does not state a storage figure, so leave generous free space. The 12 GB memory minimum is higher than most shooters ask for.
Age rating
The US Steam page does not show an ESRB or PEGI rating for THE FINALS, so we leave that field empty rather than guess. Steam’s generated ratings mark it for violence.
Play it safe
THE FINALS is only distributed through official storefronts. Cheat programs break Embark’s rules and can get the Embark ID banned; sites that sell “unlocked” accounts are selling stolen or soon-to-be-banned accounts.
