Short answer: Lychee Slicer’s free edition is called Lite. It slices for resin and filament printers, adds basic supports and 2D hollowing, and puts ads on export. The paid edition, Plus, costs €9.99 a month or €99.90 a year and adds advanced supports (grid, inline, painting), 3D hollowing, Boolean tools, full Multi-Plate and no ads. Plus & Library costs €19.99 a month or €199.90 a year and adds a library of pre-supported models. Prices are from Lychee’s pricing page on September 26, 2026, and exclude local taxes. The names Pro and Premium do not appear on that page.
Lychee Slicer editions and prices
Mango 3D, the company behind Lychee Slicer, renamed itself Lychee on August 1, 2024. Its sites now redirect from mango3d.io to lychee.co. The current pricing page lists three editions:

The page says yearly plans are billed “+ local taxes.” It shows prices in euros. We saw no separate US-dollar price list.
If you’ve seen “Lychee Pro” or “Lychee Premium” in older guides, those names no longer appear on the pricing page. Compare features against Lite, Plus and Plus & Library.
What the free Lite edition includes
From Lychee’s comparison table, Lite includes:
- Resin and filament slicing. The page says Lite is “Compatible with all filament and resin 3D printers.”
- Auto supports, the Island Detector, rafts, and parenting and bracing.
- 2D hollowing and the Repair Tool.
- Multi-Plate, in a limited form, and the “Magic Button” one-click print preparation in its basic form.
- Layer thickness preview, cloud and local backups, STL/OBJ export with supports, and scene export.
- Two user activations and Windows, macOS and Linux versions.
- Technical help and community support on Discord.
What Lite does not do
These are the limits you’ll run into on the free edition:
- Ads on export. The Lite card lists “Ads on export.” Plus lists “No ads on export.”
- No advanced supports. Grid supports, inline supports, proximity detection, support painting and projection supports are Plus features.
- No 3D hollowing. Lite has 2D hollowing. Hollowing 3D, Voxels Hollowing 3D and hollowing blockers need Plus.
- No model editing tools. Boolean mode, the planar cut and split tools and the measuring tool are Plus features.
- Limited Multi-Plate. Full Multi-Plate access is Plus.
- No network printing. Plus adds “WiFi/network printing for some supported printers.”
- Manual model updates. Lite has “Manual 3D Model Update”; Plus has automatic updates.
What Plus adds
Plus is described on the pricing page as “Full Lychee Slicer features to master any slicing project.” Beyond the items above, it lists the Auto-Support System, Assembly Keys, ironing for filament prints, premium rafts, physical size mode, the advanced “Batch Button” one-click preparation, priority support on Discord, email support inside the app, and exclusive Plus channels on Discord.
Lychee’s August 1, 2024 article on the editions sums it up: Plus adds grid and inline supports, proximity detection and one-click 3D hollowing for resin, and ironing and Boolean mode for filament, along with “priority support and an ad-free experience.”
The 30-day Plus trial
Lite users get a 30-day free trial of Plus, activated inside the slicer. That’s the easiest way to see whether grid supports or 3D hollowing change your results before paying. The trial isn’t a permanent unlock, and we don’t suggest any route to Plus features other than a subscription.
What Plus & Library adds
This plan is Plus with access to Lychee Library. The pricing page lists “+2500 Pre-supported & ready-to-print models,” “+120 world’s top creators,” new models every month and unlimited downloads. It also says “No commercial use allowed without creator approval.” The Library only works inside Lychee Slicer, according to Lychee’s site.
Account, activations and downloads
- Account required. Lychee’s documentation says: “Before you start using Lychee Slicer, you will need to create and activate your account.”
- Two computers. Every edition lists “2 user activations.”
- Current version. Lychee Slicer 8.0.0 was published on Lychee’s download page on September 24, 2026, with builds for Windows 64-bit, macOS (an arm64 DMG) and Linux (an x86_64 AppImage).
- Download links. The official download buttons at lychee.co/download-lychee-slicer are bit.ly short links that redirect to Lychee’s file storage at mango-lychee.nyc3.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com. That looks odd, but it’s how Lychee’s own page does it. Start from lychee.co, not from a short link someone posts.
- No published checksums. We found no SHA-256 hashes from Lychee for 8.0.0, so the source is your only check.
Free alternatives to Lychee Slicer Plus

CHITUBOX Basic
CHITUBOX has moved to a single app with tiers. On its pricing page, Basic is free and includes “Unlimited slicing,” automatic and manual layout, orientation and hollowing, basic model repair, auto and manual supports, and up to 2 platforms at once. Advanced costs $69 for the first year, then $99 a year. Pro costs $118 for the first year, then $169 a year. The current version is v1.3.1, released August 19, 2026.
UVtools
UVtools describes itself as a tool for “MSLA/DLP, file analysis, calibration, repair, conversion and manipulation.” It reads files from many resin slicers, including CTB, GOO, PRZ and Photon Workshop formats, and finds problems such as islands before you print. It pairs with a slicer rather than replacing one. Version 7.0.0 came out on September 19, 2026.
Which should you pick?
- Occasional resin prints, simple models: Lite or CHITUBOX Basic. Both are free.
- Miniatures that need careful supports: try the Plus trial. Grid and inline supports and support painting are Plus-only.
- You want ready-made pre-supported models: Plus & Library, if you’ll use the models. Check the commercial-use rule first.
- You already slice elsewhere but get failed prints: add UVtools to check your sliced files.
